bullet  Suffolk Latch, ingenious dual handedness

back one page
go to the beginning of category: Catches and Latches
A very good quality solid iron, reclaimed suffok latch type thing. In excellent all round condition. This item exhibits perhaps the best solution for an either handed Suffolk latch we have seen. The lift bar resides in a pocket made where the handle and backplate meet obviating the need for a spindle of any kind. Worn spindles often cause an otherwise usable latch to end up in the bin. Supplied complete with suitable black Japanned securing screws as required. Lifting bar length suitable for up to 5cm thick doors.
Backplate height: 20 cms
Backplate width: 4.3 cms
