bullet  Antique or Vintage Brass shoot bolts

back one page
go to the beginning of category: Bolts
A somewhat unusual pair of cast brass shoot bolts. One piece casting with no seams or joins this pair were originally made for a particular application. The unusual leading edge shaping of the fore end and the heavily chamfered iron bolt seems to suggest that they were used to accurately locate something, maybe a marine or railway thing. Supplied with two head/floor plates and all required fixing screws. It should be noted that originally the central section was left rough cast implying that these were originally `contained ' within some other device. We have smoothed out (although not completely removed) the casting marks. Heavy at 427 gms each
