Another Wacky Kenrick Knocker
How many different cast iron door knockers did Kenrick make? Researching these things is made more difficult by the fact that the company are still going. They make various things, but they don`t seem the least bit interest in their past and all requests for comments are ignored. Ah well, here`s another one anyway. Possibly modified in the past but difficult to be certain as we have no definitive reference. The RD lozenge, surprisingly early for Kenrick knockers in our experience, gives a design registration date of sometime in 1867. Some heavy pitting to one side of the knocker arm. Supplied with the original striking button, suitable for doors up to 5.5 cm thick.
