bullet  Antique Iron Door Knocker, Kenrick

back one page
go to the beginning of category: Door Knockers
An antique iron door knocker marked for Archibald Kenrick and sons No 293. This knocker has survived the years incredibly well, the casting is still as crisp as the day it was made. How I this possible? you ask. Gloss paint is the answer. This knocker was retrieved from the firebox of a traction engine where it had been placed apparently to burn of all the old paint. Unfortunately some of the paint was baked on and it looked like this might be un-savable. Fortunately we don't believe in un-savable so we set to work with a pick and some paint stripper and here is the result. Offered in what can only be described as pristine condition with 2 long replacement fixing studs. An original and genuine antique door knocker
