bullet  Antique Iron Brackets, Arts and Crafts pair

back one page
go to the beginning of category: Brackets
When we acquired these brackets they had so many coats of paint it was difficult to make out the detail. When we finally managed to get past the paint and scumble glaze we found these. These brackets just shout Arts and Crafts to us and we are sure you would agree. The Rd number 267437 dates the design to 1896, bang in the middle of the Arts and Crafts movement (1880 to 1910). In superb all round condition thanks to the protective qualities of many layers of paint. Supplied complete with threaded studs, washers and securing nuts. Use studs to secure shelf, affix wooden shoe to extend projection or just as locators to stop the shelf sliding off. Or you could just grind then off. No damage whatsoever, the genuine Arts and Crafts article.
